Small steps lead to big futures.........
At Right Track we believe wholeheartedly in the potential of every young person we work with, and we aim to offer the best support we can to assist them to achieve it.
Often the biggest difficulty we have to overcome is not a lack of skills or experience but a lack of confidence, a lack of understanding about labour market opportunities or an expectation of failure.
It is important for us to measure the "soft" outcomes our young people achieve as well as the "hard" outcomes, as one cannot be achieved without the other. Confidence, motivation, self-belief, self-worth, an appreciation of learning and opportunity and an understanding of personal skills are the "foundations" necessary for any young person to achieve success in the world of work.
Every year over 85% of our young people make positive progressions from our Programmes, the small achievements they have made that contribute to this figure are countless and we recognise and celebrate them all.
What do we do?
Right Track has Projects in Glasgow and Lanarkshire. We work with young people primarily aged 15-19 years .
All of our Programmes are supportive, based within local communities, are designed to offer individual and group support and ultimately aim to encourage young people to move positively towards Employment with appropriate and lasting help from Right Track.
Annually we work with over 450 young people. Many of whom feel they have little to offer Employers due to a lack of qualifications and work experience, poor self-confidence or self-esteem. Many have personal challenges to overcome, and some just need a helpng hand to get started in the right direction. All our programs offer activity based learning, a mixture of outdoor education challanges, sport introductions and group work. Our projects also offer a broad range of SQA Quaulifactions and access to certifaction relevent to Employers such as First Aid and Food Hygiene .
Every year we support over 390 young people to move onto Further and Higher Level Training, Employment, Modern Apprenticeships and College.
